Sanaa Lathan’s characteristic directorial debut is ready to make its world premiere on the Toronto Worldwide Movie Competition. A press launch introduced that “On the Come Up,” the story of a gifted rapper making an attempt to make a reputation for herself, will premiere on the forty seventh version of the fest, set to happen September 8-18.

“On the Come Up” tells the story of Bri (Jamila C.
