Cautionary Tales – South Pole Race: “Mummy, is Amundsen a superb man?”

Roald Amundsen beat Captain Scott to the South Pole. The Norwegian – utilizing canine sleds and skis – made it look straightforward… enjoyable, even. He was heading residence to security, whereas the British occasion – hauling sleds by hand – struggled out on the ice.
