Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the brand, theme and web site of India’s G20 presidency on Tuesday.
Making the announcement on Monday, the Ministry of Exterior Affairs mentioned the G20 presidency provides a novel alternative to India to contribute to the worldwide agenda on urgent problems with worldwide significance.
It mentioned the brand, theme and web site of India’s G20 presidency would mirror the nation’s ‘message and overarching priorities’ to the world.
India will assume the presidency of the highly effective grouping from present chair Indonesia on Dec. 1.
The G20 or Group of 20 is an intergovernmental discussion board of the world’s main developed and growing economies.
It contains Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the USA and the European Union.
“The prime minister will unveil the brand, theme and web site of India’s G20 presidency on Nov. 8 at 4:30 pm through video-conferencing,” the MEA mentioned.
The G20 summit will happen in Bali on Nov. 15-16 and Modi is about to be among the many high leaders attending it.
“Guided by the imaginative and prescient of the prime minister, the international coverage of India has been evolving to undertake management roles on the worldwide stage,” the MEA mentioned.
“In a big step on this path, India will assume the G20 presidency from Dec. 1. The G20 presidency provides a novel alternative to India to contribute to the worldwide agenda on urgent problems with worldwide significance,” it added.
The G20 is the premier discussion board for worldwide financial cooperation, representing round 85 per cent of the worldwide GDP, greater than 75% of the worldwide commerce and about two-thirds of the world inhabitants.
“Through the course of its G20 presidency, India shall be holding about 200 conferences in 32 totally different sectors in a number of areas throughout India,” the MEA mentioned in an announcement.
