Voting for the essential Gujarat elections started on Thursday at 8 a.m. for the primary section of Gujarat Meeting elections in 89 out of the entire 182 seats throughout 19 districts within the Saurashtra-Kutch area and southern elements of the state to determine the destiny of 788 candidates.
The voting is being held throughout 14,382 polling stations, of which 3,311 are in city areas and 11,071 are rural, the workplace of the state Chief Electoral Officer stated.
