Chelsea Peretti is making her directorial debut with the cheekily-titled “First Time Feminine Director.” The “Brooklyn 9-9” alumna and two-time WGA nominee has wrapped manufacturing on the pic for Fox’s MarVista and Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions. Deadline broke the information.
Written by and starring Peretti, who can also be among the many pic’s producers, “First Time Feminine Director” is about “at a neighborhood theater in Glendale, CA, the place a newly minted feminine director struggles to fill the footwear of her male predecessor, placing her Southern rural drama in jeopardy.”
The movie’s supporting forged consists of Megan Mullally (“Will & Grace”), Kate Berlant (“Would It Kill You to Chortle?”), and Megan Stalter (“Hacks”).

Peretti obtained two WGA nods for her work on “Parks and Recreation” and a SAG nom for Excellent Efficiency by an Ensemble in a Comedy Collection for “Brooklyn 9-9.” The “Massive Mouth” actress launched a stand-up particular, “One of many Greats,” in 2014.
