Roald Amundsen beat Captain Scott to the South Pole. The Norwegian – utilizing canine sleds and skis – made it look straightforward… enjoyable, even. He was heading residence to security, whereas the British occasion – hauling sleds by hand – struggled out on the ice.
On this case, to the victor went a spoiled repute. The British grumbled that Amundsen had someway cheated, or had at the least behaved in an underhand method. These stinging accusations would hang-out the adventurer till the day he died within the polar wastes.
