Charlotte Wells’ debut characteristic is about to open the seventy fifth version of the Edinburgh Worldwide Movie Pageant (EIFF) following its heat reception at Cannes Critics’ Week earlier this 12 months. “Aftersun” received the brand new French Contact Prize of the Jury and was acquired by A24 out of the fest.
Penned by Wells, “Aftersun” tells the story of Sophie (Celia Rowlson-Corridor), a girl who displays on summer season journey to Turkey she took along with her father (Paul Mescal) as a younger lady (Francesca Corio).
