A Walmart worker is out of a job after being accused of launching a racist tirade towards a Black buyer and calling him a racial slur, the corporate stated Monday.
The shopper instructed KABC-TV he was leaving the shop Wednesday when he was approached and blocked from exiting by the worker, who’s white.
Within the encounter, which was caught on video, the client stated the worker demanded to see his receipt for his purchases, KABC reported.
“You folks at all times making an attempt to steal,” the worker stated, in keeping with the client, who declined to be recognized.
The worker and buyer grappled over objects within the cart because the buyer requested to talk with a supervisor, he instructed KABC.
The shopper stated the worker then started calling him the N-word, the station reported.
A Walmart spokesperson stated the shop doesn’t “tolerate discrimination of any form.“
“Whereas we don’t share specifics of employment choices, the individual within the video is not with the corporate,” the spokesperson, Robert Arrieta, stated.
The incident occurred on the identical day that disgruntled Walmart worker Andre Bing opened hearth at colleagues and killed six folks inside a Virginia retailer.
