The trailer for Carrie Fisher’s ultimate film function was launched Friday, almost seven years after the actor’s loss of life.
“Wonderwell” is a coming-of-age fantasy movie that follows a younger woman named Violet (Kiera Milward) dwelling in Italy. When Violet wanders into the forest at some point and tumbles by a magic portal, she meets Hazel, performed by Fisher. The mysterious Hazel is described by the film’s Instagram as “an extravagant and highly effective witch of the forest.”
Within the trailer, it’s clear that Hazel’s fame precedes her.
“Are you the witch?” Violet asks the Fisher’s flame-haired character.
“The witch, or a witch?” Hazel coyly replies.
The film’s launch took longer than anticipated as a result of Fisher’s 2016 loss of life and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We had been challenged with COVID lockdowns and, in fact, the passing of our fantastic Carrie Fisher,” director Vlad Marsavin mentioned in a press release. “Now could be the proper time to share her magical on-screen moments as Hazel.”
The movie, which additionally stars Rita Ora, is slated for a restricted theatrical launch on June 23 by AMC. It can even be launched digitally.
