Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s web revenue dropped within the third quarter, as income from chips utilized in smartphones and high-speed computing fell and its revenue margin deteriorated.
The world’s largest contract chip maker mentioned Thursday that web revenue slid 25% from a yr earlier to 211.0 billion New Taiwan {dollars} (US$6.51 billion). That beat the estimate of NT$189.70 billion in a ballot of analysts by S&P World Market Intelligence.
